Split Rock Light House during the 2010 fall colors peak. I really like all the visual elements of this one. The fall colors, the light house, the crashing wave, and the passing ore ship all make this one of my personal favorites.

I was there 3 years ago in early October, but had no blue sky, fabulous color, nor splashing waves!

It's always a roll of the dice when doing landscapes what the weather will be like but you can plan in your favor a little. I planned this trip out ten days in advance during the fall peak which was as far as the weather predictions allowed and spent several days in the area shooting different scenic places and I returned to Split Rock at different times of the day from early morning to after sundown. I captured several great images of the light house over a few days but I do like this one the best. Thanks for the comment Donald!

Geat shot. It really has a nice colour range and all the elements are in equilibrium.
