Q: How do i create a collection

A: Do you know?

Ann is a wonderful woman that has never committed a crime or has a problem with drugs or alcohol. She has been living on the street for a couple of years now. She is a resilient young woman but needs help getting off the street.

Because of the new laws in America, getting a drivers license or a state ID is next to imposable. There is a catch twenty-two in the system. In order to get a Job you need an ID, in order to get a State ID or Drivers license you need your Social Security card and a certified copy of your Birth certificate. In order to get your SS card and Birth certificate you need a valid Drivers license or State ID.

The system makes it almost impossible to get off the street once you wind up homeless and your ID expires. You can't even rent an apartment if you don't have a job or source of income. In Indiana the majority of Employers won't even hire a homeless person.

It is a frustrating situation and most people I have meet that have been on the street for more than two years have given up hope of ever getting off the street.

We at Behind the Shadow are fighting for real people on the street, we are fighting to help them help themselves.

I've been going thru your pics, pretty good, I like this one, proud & confident with arms folded over. After being homeless not too long ago, I found the red cross shelter to be most helpful, they allowed me to use the shelters address so I could get at least get my mail. Funny the bill collectors got to me before my local DSS did.I wish her the best. wish
