This natural cleft in the rocks lies just above the beaches in Middletown, RI. Interesting spot where the stream empties into the ocean!
I had always seen the sign just before the beaches, and decided to check it out. I'm glad I did.

I went to a Purgatory Chasam a couple of years back. I can't remember if it was in northern Rhode Island or southern Massachusetts. There wasn't any water at the one I went to. I love the looks of your shot. Beautiful image. R
