I think this is a shot that appeals mostly to male sensibilities :D

Regarding the Transportation theme, aside from the helicopter, in the far distance (beyond the bridge) is the aircraft carrier "Intrepid" ... so this shot has all three modes of transportation: Land, sea & air.

Great shot. The girl is beautiful, but the helicopter makes the picture.

i agree that it does appeal to male sensibilities but i think any that witnesses despair in another individual would be inclined to help in anyway to release this girl from distress. before reading the caption, i was prompted to relate to the girl for yearning for answers and the feeling of walking ona pier is equal to walking on water. when i watching waves of any size visit the shore with a certain graceful rhythm, together with a pleasant breeze, it gives me sense of cleansing that life in busy streets filled with fumes to clog ones lungs simply complicates and communal. standing on a pier is choice by the subject to seek respite with natures gifts to clear their head and perhaps be hopeful to be re-positioned to place with less worry and a more comfortable outlook on her current life, or a new start.
