A Deer Hit Our Car!
If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth. I am tossed up and down as the locust...Psalms 109: 23
This afternoon at 3:30 our car got totaled...we hit a doe that came out of the ditch on the passenger side of our car where I was sitting and it smashed the hood and punctured one of the tires ..It was tossed 20 feet in the air and flew over the top of our roof...Thank God it missed the windshield, otherwise we may have been killed. It landed in the other traffic lane..The guy in the car behind us put on his brakes and hit the fawn that had been with the doe and both the doe and the fawn died from their injuries. He is very lucky the doe that we hit did not land on his car....He had minor damage to his car but we have about $1000 worth of damage on ours..It is an older car with a lot of mileage and not worth it to get it fixed. The man in the truck in front of us who saw the whole thing happen was incredulous that none of us were killed or hurt and he said UNBELIEVABLE when he came to see if we were okay....
I am still a little shook up but just thankful to be alive ...I feel badly about the doe and its fawn who lost their lives. It could have been so much worse.
