If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

[Alternate Title: My Secret Life with Sandra Bullock]
Linda was at Sweet Briar College when I met her in 1969. That summer, I drove to Jackson, Tennessee to meet her mom and dad. It was a 740-mile drive from my home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I know I burned through three packs of Marlboros each way . . .
Here are some photos I took of Linda during that first visit to Jackson, and a photo I took of Linda last Christmas, four decades later . . . (She asked for that Black & Decker power drill.)
When I digitized my slides last year, our grown daughters saw the Jackson photos and said, “Hey, Mom. You looked just like Sandra Bullock back then!”
Did she? Did Linda look like Sandra Bullock back then? I am asking JPG for a second opinion. If you say “yes,” I will shop these photos with “People” magazine and share the proceeds with any JPGer faving and propping this upload . . . (What a deal!)
This December marks the 42nd Christmas that Linda and I have been together, and for that I am very thankful.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
