Without Nikola Tesla inventing the alternating current, we would not see such monstrosities, Tesla wanted to charge the earth so folks could plug in and access all the electricity they needed, or pulling ot from the sky as there was unlimited amounts to be had, of course J.P Morgan and others resisted his technology because they could not figure out how much to charge people, and profit was a great concern, something Tesla did not care for, he wanted to supply cheap to free electricity for all...Great shot..tension building indeed....
