I hope you were forewarned about this storm! Do you have plenty of groceries, etc.? This is what we end up with when a Nor'easter comes calling off the Atlantic. But with God's help, a kitchen full of food, and plenty of firewood in Dave's shop we make out just fine. It does offer some fantastic photo ops! Actually, I guess I'm the oddball because I love it!! Dave did go to the expense of buying the largest snowblower for sale two years ago, and he can clear our 300' driveway in about two hours after a blizzard. Enjoy it as much as you can, Andrea, my sweet friend. Think of it as a beautiful gift of nature from Our Lord. :)

Thank you so much everyone...I agree it does make a good photo op and I plan to get out there sometime today to take a few shots...I don't think I'll be
able to walk too far away from the house as the snow is deep..Patty, yes we
are stocked up with enough food...Our driveway is an 1/8 of a mile and it calculates to approximately 657 feet so it may take some time to get out of here. We have a snow blower but not the size that Dave probably has. One way of looking at it is it makes us strong but it is tough on wildlife, birds, etc.
and I feel sorry for them...My heart goes out to them.

Gosh, snow is such a novelty to us and I am like a kid when we do get some, I run all around taking photos and enjoying it : ). However, I would not want to have as much snow as you have, I'm glad that you have a good supply of groceries and wood to keep you until you can get dug out!

Wow, that's serious snow you're talking about.. 16" is a bit overwhelming. We very rarely get that much here, but it has happened.. and it can be very difficult to cope with, too!
