Even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written...

When I walked into the library today to return some books that were due, I was announced the winner of the Ugliest Christmas Sweater/Sweatshirt Contest...My name was drawn out of the box..To see what I wore here is the link.

I dedicate this page to my late father who passed away 7 years ago today...I think you'd be proud of me, today... Dad:)
Here is a poem I wrote about him on January 19, 2003.
Visiting Dad was to sit
And reminisce awhile
Recalling funny tales~
Fishing stories made us smile;
Hearing re- passage of hunting trails
Steering past to Great Lakes Sails.
Recording them back
With his clarity and style
As if bits of life to track
In an old book page file
To cover nook and mile.
Poetry by me AJP
I noticed the word life in the word file..How true it is that many of our memories are stored in a file and sometimes never forgotten. My father passed from this life on December 21, 2003, but his stories are now stored in my files to always remember him by.
*Wednesday, Dec. 22, I will be off-line as we will be going to spend some time with my mother at the Rest Home as an early Christmas surprise to her.

Hmmmm.....I kind of like the sweater you wore! Must have been the sparkly belt that put it 'over the top'. Anyhow congrats on the win. Hope your visit with your mom was wonderful.
