Dozens of "Yatai" mobile food stalls run along the river banks in the Japanese city of Fukuoka. The mild early summer weather brings officer workers, school teachers, and housewives out to the streets for delicious soups and flame-grilled meats.

In Fukuoka, the proper outdoor dinner etiquette seems to be: pull up a stool, order a bowl of ramen, a beer, and have fun chatting it up and telling stories with the people around you.
