Thanks René. This was a heavily post-edited image of my niece. The original was not much more than a quick snapshot badly blown out with over-flash on oily pale skin. Because I loved the uncanny intensity of her expression I took it on as an editing challenge (more like a salvage project). I layered and colorized then texturized her skin to achieve a pleasing tone. But the greatest work went into keeping the intensity of her stare and the rich hazel of her eyes. I rather deliberately darkened the lower frame and corners to draw the viewer into an eye-lock with her.
