Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

This Olympic Water skier steadies himself as a speedboat sends him all around the waters on Lake Zoar.
I photographed him last August 2010. The boat was going so fast
I was shooting at about 1/4000 sec
wide open not using an IS lens at that time. I like the drama, lines, color and feel to this photo. What do you all think??

This is simply an outstanding action shot. I love the colors, composition, DOF, and light here. There is definitely a well captured dramatic look and feel to this image. Great job!
