He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow...Psalms 146:18

This is an abstract type of photograph seen through our old rolled glass kitchen window late this afternoon of ice and frost that was in the process of melting.. Our woods is faintly showing through this watery condensation...What looks like a bird on a frozen branch on the left window pane is part of an optical illusion and a pattern formed by the ice.

We are having strong winds today with very cold weather for January 1st, 2011.

Yes, definitely an abstract look. I really like it more since I read the description and know its woods in the back. Thanks for sharing!

What a delightful image, looks like an abstract painting! We were at minus 29 this morning with the wind chill, but I didn't have anything this gorgeous or unique to photograph!

Well done, Andrea!! Your type of weather is NOT in my vocabulary nor my experience. This makes an excellent abstract.

This is indeed a lovely abstract.. it has a mystical feel to it and I love it! After a bitter December we are now basking in balmy temps here.. just in time for 2011!

Picasso would be jealous, Andrea! This is a very lovely abstract. I can see your woods a little through the frost and ice. The dark shades add to the mystery of the scene very well. Wonderful job you've done taking this photo!!!!!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments! I had just lost the hot rating on my previous entry for the theme and it was providential that I was able to get this shot on the same day to replace the other entry as it fits the theme better.

Such an enchanting abstract, Andrea. Love it. Your frigid temps and snow remind me of the years I lived in Maine. Just can't handle those long cold winters anymore. I do, though, love your shots of winter scenes. Thanks so much for your continuing support to this community, as well as to me. Much appreciated.
