When I first started to shoot for a small local magazine, my editor wasnt sure of what he wanted, either an "EasyRiders" type of mag or one closer to "Cycleworld". At first, he relented to letting me do a biker-centric, community styled magazine. On the way out of the office, he tells me, "make sure you get more girls on bikes."

The Mad Hatters MC held a 2 day event to raise money and awareness for the local Candlelighters. At the second stop, we visited kids with cancer at a local hospital ward. Some of the kids came down to see the bikes. I asked Diana if she would be my model, and happily jumped on this beautiful blue Springer. At 15, my beautiful model had relapsed in her leukemia, but is currently doing well. I'm looking forward to shooting her again once her hair grows back.

So far, I've had the magazine I've wanted :)

Thank you JPG community. I didn't mean for this story to be personally gratifying, though it was. I really wanted to showcase the awesome people in my community, the, and I'm quoting a biker club president "big ugly bikers" who are so involved and so unsung.
