i am not sure if this is right to be called a street fashion. it's a pity that it's happening everywhere. we are not suppose to live like this.

The great thing about photography is the ability to be interpretive. I think this is a useful take on the category, and gets the 'candid' part right, which most others aren't.

Wow. Even though she is filthy, she's beautiful. Well done.

Amazing that a filthing-appearing candid subject can be so appealing; love it.

Context is everything. The moment I saw the image, I thought how sad that this young girl is homeless. Then I read the description and the girl suddenly became beautiful and even kind of sexy - you can image the passion she has for her painting..

This is a great candid! It really captures the lunch break moment, not to mention the dirt involved when kids do chalk art on the streets =)

I don't think this photograph deserves the credit that everyone seems to be giving it. I'm sorry but I am not for images that exploit other people and show them in a less than negative state. What's the girl in the photo going to say when her face is in JPG? oh wait, she wont know she's in it. They don't allow homeless people in Barnes and Noble.

This young woman is an artist and will be thrilled to be in JPG--charcoal on her legs and all. It's funny and sad that people are jumping to the conclusion that she is homeless. Has anyone seen a homeless person that looks like that? Nice capture.

this conversation is hilarious, I cant wait for the next person who assumes she's homeless, gets angry, and writes a mean comment.

I'm a little disturbed that although this is a website for a MAGAZINE, some people can't be bothered to read. Check the caption, Tigers. She's an artist. And it's a great street capture, and submission.

At first, I also thought she was a runaway teen. I was really overjoyed when I READ THE CAPTION that she was an artist on a lunch break. Beautiful capture.

I feel the passion in this photograph when you know what it's of. But shame on those of you for thinking negatively about it just because you thought she was homeless... either way it's a powerful, enlightening image. Photography never exploits, it simply captures what is.
