For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring...
Acts 17: 28
--------------------

I moved my summer and spring hats upstairs on December 30th, 2010... Finally got around to putting them all in one container....

This winter has been extremely cold this year and it was time to put the cooler summer hats away for the season:)

My old hats got moved
From their place downstairs
To cold bedroom upstairs...
They will still be loved
In summer and spring..
But now winter hats
Are the best thing
To wear on the head
For the time being
Where I am at...
As a matter of fact
May not be removed
Til warm season ahead:)

I like the poem. This is a great B&W shot (except for the plastic tub, could be 50 years ago!)

Thanks Donald for the comment...I tried to make it look old time by converting to B&W..A wooden trunk would have been ideal to store the hats and especially
for the vintage type of shot, if I owned one, but just went with what I had...The
room is really old and cold upstairs.. not heated in the winter so did not linger very long :)

This is another wonderful sp and a great poem too. My hats are year round hats but some are warmer than others.

I love hats.. and these are just gorgeous! What a beautiful s/p and I agree, I think the b&w gives it a nice vintage feel. The shoes are lovely too btw.. This is a delightful capture, definitely one of my all time favorites!

Andrea, you have a very beautiful collection of hats. This photo does look so 40ish, and I just love it! The B&W really makes this photo. My personal tastes swing toward the "old days" in many decorating areas. I love a house which feels warm and welcoming, and I don't want to live in a home which has a "museum" feel to it. Fantasic job, Andrea!!

What a fabulous collection of hats....and you wear them so well! I am not a hat person (wish I was!!). I agree with Don....except for the container, this could be from the 50's. Excellent work, Andrea!

I had an aunt who always wore "picture book" hats when she dressed up. You have a similar style to hers. Very ladylike and charming. I love it. Great SP, Andrea.

Thank you all for your comments...Judy, that is an interesting memory... I remember when hats were very popular and all the ladies wore hats in church...But then it changed...One Easter Sunday when we were visiting my folks, I talked my mother into wearing an Easter hat and I did too...The minister at that time who loved to tease made mention of it in his sermon and the whole congregation turned their heads to look at us:) We were the only two that wore hats that day..so we stuck out like a sore thumb:)

Thanks all for the comments...Debbie, The hat I wore on that one Easter Sunday that I mentioned in my comment was a straw hat with pink flowers...
on the pink ribbon band. In fact it is one of the hats that I am holding in my
hand on this picture that you see where I am holding it higher than the other.
