Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

Among the many photos I took at Pompeii, is a collection of wall images with the makings of contemporary abstracts. Each leaves me feeling like I literally have one foot in the past and the other in the present. I’ll complete this series next week. Hope you enjoy it:)
