A lovely group of shelf fungi on a branch, recently visited (and tasted) by a squirrel. You can tell by the two tooth marks. They are like little chisels, and the piece has been held and tasted first. Apparently, not so tasty to squirrels. It has been unusually cold, and though there are plenty of acorns, not a lot to eat.
