One of the rites of passage when growing up is going fishing...and getting the line all tangled, and the hook caught in your clothes, and a bad sunburn, and maybe some mosquito bites. But maybe, just maybe, it'll all be worth it cause you'll catch a fish.

My son's first fish was a fingerling trout, my daughter's was a "sucker" a little under two feet long. Somehow on both occassions I ended up soaking wet. There's something prophetic there, not quite sure exactly how...but there is.
