The Queen

Mado is the definitive queen of Montreal drag queens. In addition to running her own club, Mado, she hosts Mascara: La Nuit des dragues at Montreal's Divers/Cité each summer. I took this photo as she emerged from the audience and floated towards the stage, while the many thousand drag fanatics in attendance parted like the Red Sea to allow her passage.
