Each of these items has a special meaning to me.. the pocket compass my grandfather used as a dominion land surveyor; the bisque lady in blue my grandmother painted for me, working with a magnifying glass because she was virtually blind due to failed cataract surgery.. her thimbles and mini-iron used to iron pintucks and pleats; the ceramic yellow hat from a family friend of long standing; collectibles handed down; a horse plaque I received from the Veteran's Unit I once worked for; shells I collect; and a Christmas card I found in a box that is from the late 1800's.. each a treaure in its own way.
