A surviving chair from a set of 12 that perched in their glory at the "birdhouse" cafeteria at the Falls Church, VA, L&T store, where my mother worked for 25 years.
They were redecorating the cafe in the mid 70's and all furniture was tossed.
Only a few still standing from the hard knocks from my boys over many years...now I have three in this kinda condition.
Squirrels have been stealing the stuffing since the chair was left on the deck over a year ago and to add insult to injury, the bottom of a plastic tray melted on it after having paint remover sitting in it overnight.
I feel like this chair defines me and my mother = who had so much class, and I ~ who ...did not.
