The dog freaked out the night before I found this intact snake skin just outside the lanai door. It was 4 feet long (minus 2 inches) and identified by the locals as that of a non-venimous Black Snake that feeds on bugs and small rodents. This is NOT a good photo by any stretch of the imagination BUT it shows the tubular nature of the skin, the underside being completely transparent!! Of course, this means there's now a 4+ foot long black snake living under the lanai in Fort Myers, FLA.
