Once a wet boat house, this ruin was abandoned when the water levels fell on Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, ON but never rose again. People in Port Severn and the Gloucester Pool cribbed dock extensions again and again as the waters receded. One story goes that a man added 40 feet (like the patchwork you see here) and still couldn't reach water deep enough to dock his boat safely.
