On Top of the Mackinac Bridge

On the 375th and finaly day of my 50-state tour I was able to go to the very top of the Mackinac Bridge, something only a few people a year get to do. There couldn't have been a better finale in Michigan, this is an awesome icon of the state. There is an elevator that fits three people tightly. Then you have to climb a 30-40 foot latter from the second crossbream to the top. It was one of the most incredible places I've ever stood, 552 feet above the water.

Awesome image Jason! Were you tethered to something or just standing in the open up there? How did you get permission to go up there?
