On the 375th and final day of my 50-state tour I was able to go to the very top of the Mackinac Bridge, something only a few people a year get to do. There couldn't have been a better finale in Michigan, this is an awesome icon of the state. There is an elevator that fits three people tightly. Then you have to climb a 30-40 foot latter from the second crossbream to the top. It was one of the most incredible places I've ever stood, 552 feet above the water.

I've been to mackinac (naw) before. It was rad, no cars on the whole island. How in the world did you get on top of that bridge?
