The Ida B Wells Projects in the south side of Chicago, about to be torn down, yet the homeless still live in it. It's really a sad sight to see.
I follow the golden rule: do on to others as you want done on to you, so that's why I didn't include the homeless in the photos. If I were homeless I wouldn't want people taking pictures of me.

incredible photo. I agree with you on the issue of photographing ethics. If it's a picture you can't pass up with the homeless included, I always leave them some cash. I feel it's only fair. And if they're aware I always try to converse & make them feel comfortable. but this tactic is rarely safe.

i concur with Julie. This beautiful photo would be made 100 times more poignant by showing the true occupants. Our nation has truly 'forgotten' it's residents.
