Thank you all. This was during a visit to the village in the Villupuram district in northern Tamil Nadu, in which I joined my friend's family in their pilgrimage to his mother's home village to participate in the inauguration of the local Hindu temple. We stayed there overnight in the traditional mud-house and I had a chance to visit many relatives homes for chai and just hang around the fields and hills with cows and calfs, eat locally home made delicious food, watch and snap/video music and street theater... swim in the irrigation well, go to the open-air toilet and so much more... still hope to get these posted... as Betina said, it's hard to verbalize all these almost out-of this-world experiences. Intense.

Thank you all. Thanks to you I went back and looked through all the photos I took while staying this village and of course it was like living it all over again. I tried to dig up about 10 photos to make up a feature story but am probably still too emotional about it and ended up with a list of 50 (out of several hundreds...).
