Shall thy wonders be known in the dark?...Psalms 88:12
We are indeed anxious to see the sun shine again.. I shot this picture at 11:40 AM through our kitchen window which contains old rolled glass. (Not the easiest glass to focus through) I used my new Tamron 70-300 mm lens which I am loving very much.
It was over-cast lighting all day and shortly after I shot this picture it started to rain..As you notice in spite of the snow that we had earlier this week and last weekend, the day lily shoots are looking healthy along the sides of the woods. I wanted to get as much sharpness as I could, shooting through the window so I stopped down and used manual focus with a fast enough shutter speed to safely hand hold. It really deepened the tones, but it is exactly how it looked outside..and sometimes miracles can be performed even in darkness with photography. This is why I prefer manual focus as it gives us more control to adjust the exposures to our liking..
Focal length 70 mm
Exposure time 1/200
ISO speed 800
