Taken through the windshield.. this Rough-Legged Hawk seemed to enjoy posing while I got a few captures. They are an awesome bird to come across.. they measure from 1 1/2 feet up to 2 1/2 feet in length. They reside mainly in the US in winter but migrate up to the high Arctic to nest in spring..
