Let both grow together until the harvest... Matthew 12: 30
The Cinnabar Polypore
Made me stop where I stood
On my walk thru' the woods.
I had ne'er seen one like it before,
In the bright hue of crimson red...
Tho' they don't last long
Attached to a log already dead,
That is slowly crumbling apart
Bit by bit at the seam;
It still warmed my heart
To see a plant growing strong
Colorfully together as a team...
On the woodland floor
Next to the fungi polypore
Poetry by me, AJP
