Hey Dave.............VERY long time no talk, but I still love your work I have to tell you.

I haven't been on JPG for a long long time, just lost in life I think these days, BUT.........I happened to stumble in here tonight and I see this (browsing through your gear), a classic pic of one of my all time fav breaks. Geeeez man, ya killin me making me look at this. One of the waves I always wanted to see in real life and it never happened. Monochrome, black and white, colour.....who cares, it's Ma'alaeh.
Didn't it get eaten up/destroyed by a marina or something similar .
From memory I gave up ever hoping to see this break in my "twenties". I think it has to have the most absolute perfect angled swell to break these days and when you're in AU, that's a big call getting there for it (Surfline forecasts are all very good, but the "available cash" at the time has a big role also)
In saying that, I was back at Pipe this year again and had a good season with a lot of good waves. Two sessions...(maybe three) that I would call "epic" one was in the Volcom Pro time frame, got some good ones there. Why I didn't try and call you and hook up is beyond me....I am truly sorry, caught up in the moment and not thinking at the time. You're probably 50 meters up the beach from me some days and I didn't even know it. I will make sure it happens one day. (like I mentioned earlier, my mind has not been totally on the job lately.
I have dived into making movies from my trips over to the North Shore for the boys back home here in Australia and that has taken up all my time....they and I are loving it by the way. I'll keep you posted on them and how they go.
Anyway, as I said at the top. I love your work and always have. Keep it up mate.
