Brother Oliver Needs A Prayer ( Cancer)
If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

TO THOSE WHO CARE - CAN YOU SPARE A PRAYER FOR OLIVER?
Mama Cinder came to my house asking for a drink. After a bit of encouragement she came in my yard. She seemed fat. Indeed her breasts were enlarged. I took her to the vet that day. She was pregnant. The Vet shaved her back side as he said if he did not she could NOT have her babies. Her hair was so long and dirty. Thus the name Cinder. Three days later she gave birth to five puppies. 14 hours later we found Moses. His Mom took him in the back room and fed him. He and Oliver were best friends from the very beginning.
Oliver was meant to stay with his brother Moses. Each time someone came to chose a puppy in 2001 Oliver hid. Oliver has always been very shy, but a very nice dog. Their Mama Cinder died of cancer 9-30-08. She was a wonderful mother. She was so happy to find a home before she had her puppies. That was the greatest gift I could have given her... A forever home.
Born March 25, 2001.
On April 30th, 2012- for some reason I looked in Oliver's mouth. I was stunned at what I saw. A tumor the size of a jack ball on the roof of his mouth. He had just been to the vet on Friday April the 27th. Need-less to say - he was back at the Vet the next day. Oliver will have this tumor removed tomorrow. May the 4th. There are no words I have to day. :-( Only one day at a time.
For Jim Thomas and Dandy, who have seen lots of dogs in their days. This dog, no one wanted, stayed right here where he belongs- with his Brother at his Forever home. The home his Mama chose for him and his siblings.
UPDATE 5-7-2012 - The surgery went well and the tumor was removed. waiting results. Thank you for your prayers.
UPDATE 5-22-2012 - The tumor was cancer. :-( The vet thinks he got it all - though it may have spread. Only Time will tell.
