i go to school right by kerry park, ive never heard it called "free needle" ?

i don't know if it's as "known to the locals" as it is known by a good friend of mine who happens to live there. He calls it that due to the fact that it is as high above the city as the Needle, but free to go to, and in my opinion and much better view of the city.
