These ones belong to a Coal fired Power Station in Churchill, where our host used to work. We were able to drive through the Chimney stacks as it is a highway. On the left of the chimneys was a humungous open cast coal mine. As fast as the coal was being dug out, it was ramped rightup to the furnaces. We could look down into the pits and see ant like trucks being loaded.

One day the coal will run out...then they can convert the stacks to perhaps another kind of fossil fuel...In AZ there were miones a plenty...but all blocked off, otherwise people woule be falling inside....perhaps we should tell the politicians there are voters and $ in them thar holes...
