I had no clue what I was seeing. This was taken looking ESE above my house. After some research I think this is a Mammatus cloud - a funnel with a spinning base?

When occurring in cumulonimbus, mammatus are often indicative of a particularly strong storm or maybe even a tornadic storm. There was a tornado alert in the southern part of our county. 7:30 PM 5-26-2011
