This shot is a repost but it is part of my civil war reenactment series that was published in the Macon Telegraph. It has also won many awards and is one of my favorite images. I managed to capture the fire coming out by watching the sequence of the canons over and over again. My camera fires like 20 shots per second so I just prefocused and held down the shutter when it was time for this canon to go off and I got my shot.
