On 15/06/11 there was total eclipes of the moon by the Earth's shadow. It had been seen for some hours in east Africa and near area before midnight. Such an eclipse accures one at tens or hundreds years. While full eclipse, moon travels through the outer shadow of Earth named Penumbra and enters to inner shadow named Umbra, specially in this kind of eclipse moon passes almost at center of Earth's shadow. If you remember Earth has circle shadow, so it moves right on diameter of it. When moon is in Umbra shadow, it almost unseen and has red gradation tint, and small thin lighted ring around its perimeter.
7 randomizely taken shots delivered to one capture by overlaing in "Startrails" without any after effects, just the color of the moon itself chosen by my nikon D700 through nikkor 70-200 F2.8 converted two times with X2 convertors soligor and vivitar. Totaly 800mm and 400mm. ISO 6400 and looks little bit noisy if you get closer. I tried to add some motion to composition...
