He does his daily routine at the back sidewalk of a parish church in the heart of Manila. It is said that he has been there doing his "thing" since the 80s. He is fondly called by the surrounding vendors as "Putol" since he is easily seen from afar as an amputee on both arms, but when one gets a closer look, he also is actually blind on both eyes! Despite the overwhelming nature of his physical challenges, Mang Agapito continues to inspire passers-by with his 'silindron' music and a tin can for which he amply uses his left foot with for percussion.
