A short pier in the Tasmanian west coastal town of Strahan under an early morning 'mackerel' sky. The sun had barely risen and, being the middle of winter, the light was extremely dim. Being without my tripod I tried to steady my camera with my own hands but given the relatively long exposure (1/15) there was unavoidable blurring. Normally, this would have rendered the image unusable, however I thought this one actually benefited from the slightly blurred edges and the glassy appearance of the water's surface - giving it an almost 'ghostly' quality.
