The experience of journeying through the typical Bengali villages (Bali) is quite unique. This is an 86 kilometers journey from Kolkata city.
First we reached at Sonakhali by our office vehicle. Then we took a government boat and cruise through the river till Sunderban Tiger Camp. The river cruise is a real pleasure. The river Hogol and numerous other Estuarine Rivers form 102 Delta islands in the Sunderbans, in which there are human dwellings in 52 islands only, the rest are dense forest, practically impregnable with their rich variety of flora and fauna. The boat cruises through many rivers touching many places.
This particular shot is from Bali village.Every household posesses a pond where they rear fish for their own consumption and sale.
The houses are made of mud wall and thached roof by using paddy straw.Adjacent pond sites are meant for paddy cum fish farming too.
I feel like this shot is made for green living.........................
