This year's Red Bull Soapbox Racewas held in my backyard, the East Side of Providence, RI on College Hill. Last year I lived just a couple blocks down from this spot! It was an amazing time and I was lucky to be accompanied by two of my favorite new cameras: my Holga 120CFN and my brand new Diana+ from The Lomographic Society. There is no better way to capture these fanatics than with a Lomo camera!

I used my new Diana+ for the candid shots of the crews in the pits and my Holga with high speed film for the race shots. I got a lot of looks from photographers with their D-SLR's! The pit crews were very happy to pose for my unique cameras.

In this photo is the Fall River entry Roadkill Revenge. This wacky team had a sign that read, "My Mother was Killed by a Hummer"!

Created using my brand new Diana+ with Rollei ScanFilm (iso 400). Negative scanned with an HP Scanjet 4890. No digital manipulation used!

This guy or deer seems happy to have been run over! These people had very creative ideas for these cars.
