This is a pose many teenagers, especially girls use in a pre-meditated defence or criticism. Often teenagers will be buzzing with mental impulsive thoughts and this is a great pose depict such a predisposition. Teenage girls dont often want to be looked at. Fear will prevail where intrigue about changing physicality is prominent in their thinking. Being apprehensive about judgements from others is a lesser concern is covered by arms, and their face by hands. This subject appears bored and lusts for mental stimulation, not perpetual boredom. The viewer is still able to see the eyes but the area between the fringe and hands leaves little to be revealed, a choice by the subject to leave little to discover.
