Therefore saith the Lord God;...I will even make the pile for fire great.
Ezekial 24: 9
A robin red breast
Thinks he'd best rest..
O'er an old road grader.
Whilst standing higher
To see things greater
For what brings the fire..
As the flame ignites,
We learn from the bird
The heart of God's word
Can burn with delight
And also a smile
Atop the wood pile.
Poetry by me AJP
I think this little robin was posing just for the camera. It was in the perfect spot...What caught my eye first of all was the little orangish glow of light through the poplar trees to brighten an otherwise overcast day before it rained yesterday afternoon. Then I realized it was the robin standing straight and tall surveying his world with purpose. Nature tells its story of God's glory if we happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Spot-on! Well done, Andrea! A real triumph. I always seem to catch them on the ground looking for worms.

What a pretty capture and the light is so beautiful. Robins especially love rain and come out in droves afterward.

This is such an excellent photo, Andrea! Usually we see lots of Robins here, but this year they have not shown up. Maybe they knew how hot it would be and knew about the drought here! Loved your poem about the Robin : )
