The little children who run this business are not here at the moment, but I see them often. They made their own sign (yes, I know "homemade" is missing an "e"), and they have a little tablecloth and bouquet of flowers. Each year they man their lemonade stand all summer. I am so proud of them and their parents. These kids are working hard and learning the value of a dollar....or 50¢

An American tradition. A wonderful capture, Patty! Several of these have been closed down around the country recently for lack of a permit. Can you imagine???

I am not surprised in the least, Judy! Are you?? I wouldn't be surprised to find the ACLU folks at their home, admonishing the parents for having their children working in the heat of day!!!
Thanks to each of you for you sweet comments!!! -

Way to go kids! Just hope the government doesn't shut them down for lack of a license, health permit, income tax, and all the other crap that they come up with.

Lovely. Glad to see they're learning the value of a break in the working day, too. ;-)

This is so sweet! Judy's comment makes me so angry! Kids need to be encouraged. The government can has plenty of time to crush them later.

I'll bet they did a lot of business during the hot spell we had last week...Lemonade is very refreshing and it is a cute and artistic looking stand.

I would by often. Around here, the kids, the stand and all would be missing the first hour ~ sadly.
