Songkran Festival, Bangkok, Thailand

April is the warmest and most humid month in Thailand so it is probably no surprise that they hold their three day Songkran Festival in the middle of the month. If you are planning on visiting anywhere in Thailand on those three days expect to get wet as the Thais take to the streets to give each other (and anyone else who passes by) a good soaking. Noticed the vendor selling water guns. I was amazed that my soaked camera was still working. We soon found a taxi to take us back to the hotel.

Water guns and Water balloons are the funest ways to cool off. Great street shot and entry John.

LOL! I love it. hehe,,,I actually own a water gun. I swim with a wonderful cranky old man, Mike, everyday. He's 87, and still swims about an hour a day. Anyway, when the mood strikes me, I like to wait for him to finish a lap. He can't see that well, so when he comes up I just hit him directly in the face. I'm sure I am just what he needs. This is such a fun entry.

I love this entry which I think is perfect for the theme. You can see how water soaked the sidewalk is...I am glad your camera is still working after it got wet.
