Beautiful scenery. We went to RMNP one year back in the 80's sometime on a motorcycle, we were riding up on a high road when a strong gust surprised us and blew us into the next lane, towards a drop off. It scared us so badly that we sat in a souvenir shop for a long time trying to get the nerve up to go back down that road or go on and ride about 100 miles out of our way. We decided to go back and braced for that wind, but it never blew on us - whew!! Your photo brought that long ago memory back, thanks for the memory : )

Ann, your story is a scary one...I would not like to be on that motorcycle during the strong winds. My husband and I hike the back country and I remember one time while on foot the wind nearly blew me over a steep drop off...needless to say I hugged the rock wall all the way down. LOL -
