So much! The intricacy of the wrought ironwork, makes the theme seem very tightly woven in content, mystery; the green in the windows gives a feeling of something sort of sickening, or ill, maybe like the gist of a killer's mind; The fact that the subject stands out of the bright light, just barely between light and dark makes me feel that he still has a choice - to leave the intricate, woven, web like world of shadows he is walking away from, and step into the light, no longer hidden - but if he goes too far, his world will be filled with sickness again- maybe of his mind, and it waits patiently.
This photo is outstanding! Needs to be the cover of a very good mystery novel! - "Out of the Depths of Depravity" or something. Well done!

Carl, this one is amazing...I'm not sure that the figure is leaving. I get the feeling that (like Paolo) there's a sense of doubt...like he's waiting...perhaps holidng the gate for someone else...perhaps doubtful that they'll make it back?
