Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
Job 40: 10

The purpose of a butterfly
Gives more than its worth,
To the flowers it pollinates..
For the same reason why
There is a heaven and earth.
That human mortals may see
The beauty of its majesty,
And to accept the fate
Tho' we live ...we will die...
As the flowers and the butterfly;
Ere' we enter the pearly gates.

Poetry by me, AJP

Focal length 300mm
F-number f/22
Exposure time 1/80 sec.
ISO speed 100
Exposure program..Aperture priority.
Tripod

Normally I would not use 1/80 sec. for shooting butterflies as they are often fluttering their wings and it usually needs a faster shutter speed but this was an experiment with aperture priority. Fortunately, I had my camera held firmly on a tripod which helped prevent camera shake. I waited until the butterfly remained relatively still for the time it took to shoot the picture.

This is from the camera without processing by photo shop. Sometimes it is nice
to not always depend on photo shop but to try to get the exposure right in the
beginning ...There is much to learn with photography and I am far from perfect.
It not only is an art but it is a science and using the right techniques are very important to get good results....

The "experiment" yielded a perfect result. One of your best poems . . .

WOW!!!!! It is incredible. We should all learn to get our images right in camera before we even learn to use photoshop I think.
