[Near I-17 southbound, half-way between Flagstaff and Phoenix; June, 2011]

I have previously reported on the strange mutants that have been sighted in the Southwest, the probable result of above-ground nuclear testing in the 1950s. (Please click on the link, below, for additional details.)

So, I was not completely surprised to see this friendly “lady bee” on an Arizona highway.
